alleviation, ease or deliverance from pain, distress and oppression...

Art Lives Studio's Haiti Relief Benefit is a program that creates grassroots arts events organized with fellow artists to help send vital resources to Haïti and assist communities hard hit by personal, economic and environmental disasters.

1. Fellow visual artists donate works of art to be sold at Haiti Relief Benefit events and online @ artlives.net.
25% minimum proceeds to Haiti is requested; up to 100% if artist can afford it.
2. Fans and art lovers spread the word, attend the events and purchase artwork in person or online.
3. The organizations we support receive 100% of the proceeds collected, which turn into food, healthcare and other vital resources.

As we endeavor to bring relief in the form of charitable support, it is the above definition that rings most true to the artists working through this program. Whenever we can help eachother to breathe a sigh of relief is a worthwhile effort.

Volunteers are welcomed to help organize these wonderful events.
If you would like to participate, give us a shout!

YELE HAITI

MISSION
Yéle Haiti is a foundation started by Grammy-Award winning musician, producer and social entrepreneur Wyclef Jean that is changing lives in this desperately poor but optimistic nation.

Through Yéle Haiti, Wyclef uses music, sports and the media to reinforce projects that are making a difference in education, health, environment and community development. In practical terms this translates to over 3,000 new jobs, close to 7,000 children being put in school, more than 8,000 people a month receiving food and approximately 2,000 young people a month learning about HIV/AIDS prevention.

Among the many who have responded to Wyclef’s invitation to help are thousands of individuals like you, celebrities like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, as well as NGOs, world leaders and corporations.?
