artist's approach
It's vital to understand the collector of the custom artwork to be created, especially for portrait work; their expressions, experiences, dreams, heritage and whatever they wish to share. The first session usually involves conversation before any painting begins. Your intentions for the art, your current environment, your visions and message will inform the process and resulting finished piece.
Art Lives Studio accepts a limited number of custom art request per year. Collectors are placed on a yearly schedule to assure that each piece receives ample studio time. Depending upon the complexity and medium of the artwork being requested as well as the artist's commitments and projects, collectors may be placed on the following year's schedule in order to maintain the integrity of the artwork.
